Trump has gone generous and donated the one quarter of his salary to the Department of the Interior in order to fund the National Parks. The White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer was joined by Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke and was given the check by Spicer that was displayed on a digital screen during the briefing in the briefing room.
According to Zinke more funds would come to help maintain the infrastructure of such sites nationally.
“We’re about $100 million or $229 million behind in deferred maintenance on our battlefields alone and that’s on our 25 national battlefields,” he said. “We’re excited about that opportunity.”

“The check, that was made out for $78,333 was every single penny” said Spicer, “that President had received since inauguration.”
He also commented on the services rendered by the National Park
“The Park Service has cared for our parks since 1916, and the president is personally proud to contribute the first quarter of his salary to the important mission of the Park Service.”
