The Guardian— Donald Trump has accused Barack Obama of “wire tapping” his offices in New York City before the presidential election in November last year, claiming the former president had overseen a “Nixon/Watergate”-style intervention.
Donald Trum on Saturday 5.35 a.m. eastern time, has been launching a series of tweets and saying, “Terrible! Just found out that Obama had my ‘wires tapped’ in Trump Tower just before the victory. Nothing found. This is McCarthyism!”
His initial tweet with a small but noticeable thread of others claimed that Obama had stood against a legal rejection of a request for his office to be tapped, and a reputed lawyer was invited immediately to tackle the alleged operation.

The then President, Obama compared the alleged office tapping to Watergate – the scandal sparked in the 1970s that shook the foundation of administration and razed to the ground Republican President Richard Nixon following his break-in orders of the counterpart Democrat party headquarters in Washington.

Trump also tried hard to defend attorney general Jeff Session who is faced with strong criticism over his meeting with Russian ambassador during election campaigning last year.
He tweeted: “The first meeting Jeff Sessions had with the Russian Amb was set up by the Obama Administration under education program for 100 Ambs…” .
He added: “Just out: The same Russian Ambassador that met Jeff Sessions visited the Obama White House 22 times, and 4 times last year alone.”
There was no more additional proof provided by the president who claims that Obama had “wire tapped Trump Tower” and no such leading source of information has been displayed by him. Th ex-president Obama has also not replied to his tweets either.

The Trump administration has been on the back foot over its contacts with Russian officials before the president took office in January.
Last month Michael Flynn was forced to resign as national security adviser over conversations with the Russian ambassador to Washington and misleading statements about them to the press and the vice-president, Mike Pence.
This week it was revealed that Sessions had two meetings with Sergey Kislyak, the Russian ambassador to the US, last year that he failed to disclose to senators in his confirmation hearing.
On Wednesday, The New York Times posted that the Obama administration had classified the investigation and allowed and shared the collected data to be leaked widely in the administrative dominions.

Trump and Russians — across the government. Former American officials say they had two aims: to ensure that such meddling isn’t duplicated in future American or European elections, and to leave a clear trail of intelligence for government investigators.
Trump is likely referring to calls from talk radio hosts Mark Levin and Rush Limbaugh to investigate the nature of the Obama administration’s investigations of his campaign aides for their communications with Russia, as Breitbart News editor Joel Pollak reported.
As former Heat Street editor Louise Mensch reported the day before the election, “sources with links to the counter-intelligence community” confirmed that a FISA court had granted a FISA court warrant in October to monitor activities in Trump tower. They were previously denied a request in June, according to the report as well as a report in the Guardian.
Representative Eric Swalwell, a Democrat member of the White House intelligence committee, told Fox News that
“Trump is not credible when it comes to talking about Russia.I think this is just the president up early doing his routine tweeting, he said. “Presidents don’t wiretap anyone. These are pursued by the Department of Justice in accordance with the FBI and signed off by a judge.”
