Massachusetts – The Second State to Challenge Trump’s Muslim Ban


During a press conference on Boston’s Beacon Hill, Massachusetts Attorney General, Maura Healey has called the order, “harmful, discriminatory, and unconstitutional” and she added that her office going to join the already filed suit on Saturday by the ACLU Massachusetts.

Massachusetts has become the second state to be suing Trump’s immigration ban on seven Muslim countries. The state is going to challenge President Trump’s executive order according to which the Muslim countries vested interests are zero have been put under the bar.

When she was asked what she would suggest to President for a message. She said, ”

“No one is above the law,. “We must be prepared to take action at all times when and if someone acts in ways that are unlawful or unconstitutional.”

 Washington became the first state to file the suit against the executive order on Monday according to the LA Times. Few hours later Trump fired Acting U.S. Attorney General Sally Yates when defied to defend the executive order. The executive order became a nightmare to the travelers this weekend that included greencard holders who deem U.S. being the home country and refugees who had undergone the years long procedure of vetting. They were told when they landed on the airport that their papers had just been declared null and void moment ago.
The judges in New York, Virginia, Seattle and Boston to be a part of the ban as well as barring deportation. The restrain orders were imposed by Boston judges by giving immigrants approval a week before the imposition of it. Halley along with her team would extend the spectrum through the agenda that President’s orders should be revoked entirely.

Haley is a Democrat who had addressed the protesters at Logan Airport in Boston, Saturday said that her team would join the suit on behalf of two Iranian engineering professors that are American citizens at Massachusetts-Dartmouth. Mazdak Porabdollah Tootkaboni and Arghavan Loughalam who were detained on Airport returning from Marseilles, France.
