The Judge Halts Trump’s Immigration/Muslim Ban Nationwide Temporarily

SEATTLE (AP) – Donald Trump’s travel ban on predominantly seven Muslim countries, has been put on halt. A US judge, yesterday enforced a nantionwide moratorium on Trump’s ban on seven countries, on the plea filed by two major States that challenged the executive order that sent the country in chaos.

James Robart the U.S. District Judge, in Seattle ruling out that said, “Washington State and Minnestota had standing to challenge Trump’s Executive order.”

That was apparently argued by government lawyers, displayed the stats that their case could likely succeed as nearly 60,000 people the banned countries have been affected by massive Visa cancellations.

This was replied like this by Judge Robart,

“The state has met its burden in demonstrating immediate and irreparable injury. This TRO “temporary restraining order” is granted on a nationwide basis”

It had not been clear to common masses about the Trump administration’s stance on this to the visa applicants who have waited for years unless an internal email start circulating among HS (Homeland Security) officials to inform employees to be compliant with the ruling right away.

The White House Spokesperson, Sean Spicer announced through a statement late Friday, “They will file an emergency stay of this outrageous order and defend the executive order of the President, which we believe is lawful and appropriate.”

“The president’s order is intended to protect the homeland and he has the constitutional authority and responsibility to protect the American people,”

the statement said.

Washington has become the first state that sued over the order that temporarily ban on travelers from Iran, Iraq, Syria, Sudan, Somalia, Libya and Yemen and suspending the U.S. refugee program.

However, the State Attorney General Bob Ferguson expressed his views that the travel ban apparently harms citizens and effectively mandates discriminatory tendencies. Washington was joined by Minnesota two days later.

When the ruling out was announced by Robart, Ferguson said

“People from the affected countries can now apply for entry to the U.S. Judge Robart’s decision, effective immediately … puts a halt to President Trump’s unconstitutional and unlawful executive order,” Ferguson said. “The law is a powerful thing — it has the ability to hold everybody accountable to it, and that includes the president of the United States.”
