Daisy Bastin, a 109-year-old graceful lady, has just disclosed the source of her beauty and freshness of skin even at such age.
“According to Daisy fresh onions have been greatly helping her keep her skin fresh and young.”
Besides, all other vegetables too have kept her skin glowing.
This should be noted that she still lives in her own flat in Glastonbury, Somerset and can cook her own meal too-she always uses fresh onions.
She said: “I couldn’t do it without them – they keep me going. They’re good for the skin too.”
Being the last survivor of her family in the UK, she was born in Devon in 1908. She says having “good friends and being happy” also adds longevity.
On the other hand, world’s oldest living woman (passed away last month) ‘Emma Morano‘, said eggs kept her vitality active. She had been eating three hen’s eggs every day-two raw- is the way she could make up to the amazing age of 117. The doctors believe that her diet has not been normal instead full of proteins.
Dr Carlo Bava said: “When I met her, she ate three eggs per day, two raw in the morning and then an omelette at noon, and chicken at dinner.”
She was the last person to have born in the 19th Century, died last month in her home in Verbania, Italy.
