Tangled is by no means one of Disney's classics but it did receive favourable reviews. It's budget was high but it was also a high earner for the type of movie it is. During the year it was released it was the 8th highest grossing movie of the year and is the 22nd highest grossing animated movie. However, it will never achieve the same heights of other Disney movies and so even thought it was technically a success, for that it may not be worth such a high budget.
