About 60 km south of Berlin there’s a former Soviet airfield where you will find an old airship hangar known as the Aerium. With over 66,000 m² (710,000 sq. ft) of floor space and 5 million m³ (176,573,333 cu. ft) of enclosed space, the simple idea was to have a self-contained superb holiday destination in Europe.
In December 2004, the Tropical Islands resort was opened first time for the world and general public.
